So you're in school, you want to get a degree to become successful and earn lots of zenni right?! For starters click the Z-school on the side, now you're going to see a huge list of professions you can go into. If you don't want to go to z-school, and don't want to wait for a degree you can always become an Animator.
Art & Design
You click on Art & Design and the first job you'll see is Ceramics Designer. Now lets use this as our example shall we, You'll see four other columns next to the job you want to apply for. FL(88), fighting level for short, you must meet the required fighting level to apply for the job. The next column over is "Zenni", to apply for the degree you will need to have the required amount of zenni in your "Pocket Zenni", not in your bank. (In this case they are asking for 8,800zenni) Remember, to get more zenni just do some missions and you're good to go! Moving on to "Experience (.08%)", it is gained from leveling up your job, applying for new jobs, getting a better degree and training your intelligence. The last column is Time, which is just how many days it will take to get your degree. For this degree it says 11 so you wait 11 days.
Remember, the better the degree in z-school you get, the more zenni you'll earn! P.S. This is just an example for Art & Design, if you are going into other fields the level, zenni, experience and time might be different.
